Receive one-on-one lessons for beginner to professional vocalists to improve their understanding of the Brazilian repertoire and the nuances of its phrasing, rhythm, Brazilian Portuguese pronunciation, and interpretation. Catina has coached several vocalists for recording sessions, including highly-acclaimed artists.

Workshop: Brazilian Music for Singers
This workshop is designed for vocalists of all levels to improve their understanding of the Brazilian repertoire and the nuances of its pronunciation and interpretation.​The workshop is divided in two parts with a one-week interval between sessions. By dividing this workshop into two sessions, you will have time to absorb the phonetics content before applying it to your singing. A live jazz trio with professional musicians will accompany all singers at the end of the second session.
The workshop
Part 1 – PHONETICS
1) Proper pronunciation of the Brazilian Portuguese language and its implications when applied to singing. *All participants will receive a PDF file detailing information about the specific phonetics
2) Understanding the lyrics and learning proper pronunciation.
​Part 2 - APPLYING PHONETICS TO A SONG / PHRASING AND RHYTHM / SINGING WITH A LIVE BAND​
1) Lecture: Catina works deeply on lyrics with participants by improving pronunciation, exploring lyrics' meaning and interpretation, and suggesting choices for phrasing and rhythmic fluency.
​2) Let's sing! Sing with a jazz trio of professional musicians!
​3) Hang out and network at a reception!
